Study on Screening Mechanism and Numerical Simulation for Crashed Concrete Particles by Using DEM

Recycling waste concrete has become a large problem in developing countries. The aim of this work is to provide guidance for screening particles and improving efficiency. First, the elastoplastic collision model established calculating coefficient restitution with different compressive strengths. Then, bar circular vibrating screen applied simulate process by using discrete element method (DEM). optimal parameters, which contain amplitude, frequency inclination angles, analyzed representative containing C15, C45 C80 comparing results show that parameters amplitude smaller increase strength particles. Appropriately, angle suitable fine gap screen. This should be helpful provides theoretical basis simulation case recycling other particles, such as sand, stone, iron ore copper ore. In processes construction wastes, can selected quickly adopting DEM simulation.
